That’s right folks, I finally have my new car! Holy cow, talk about worth the wait. It’s just a smidge better than my truck: leather seats, sunroof, automatic windows, automatic door locks, a trunk, room for more than 2 people, etc. Talk about fun to drive too. When passing on 2 lane roads, I’ve got enough power in 5th to easily fly by people. I think think was definitely a good buy. I’m actually up in Ft. Wayne right now. I spent the night at my friends house, and now I’m going to finish my journey up to Detroit. I’ll probably update more about the car, and other things, from there, since I have yet to take it on the freeway (it was all highways between here and Lafayette).
Computer Parts for Sale
Interested in buying some computer parts? Well, good news, I’m selling some. Feel free to check out what I’m selling at my post on ArsTechnica.
It Hurts
So, she came by to get the last of her stuff not more than a few minutes ago. I didn’t think that it would get to me. Whatever, people move on, we’re both still young, blah blah blah. She gave me her key, and it hit me, like a ton of bricks. Even right now, just thinking about it. I don’t know if it’s ever felt like this before. I sure can’t rememer it.
It does make sense though, as much as I don’t want to admit it. I picked on her way too much. Looking back at the last 2 months after she told me she was moving out, it just got worse too. Who knows where it’s going to go from here. From body language, and everything left unsaid, I’m thinking into the ground, but things can change I guess. I don’t know what I really want out of it, or if I want to try to make it work.
I think I’m going to run and workout to try and make myself feel better. I think just getting out of the apartment will help, but then I’ll come back. And since I thought I was going to help her move this weekend, I don’t have anything else planned. Should be fun to sit around and feel sorry for myself. Always a blast.
Gamecube Stuff is Gone
Well, as of today, the last of my gamecube stuff is gone. The broadband adapter sold today. I just have to send it out and I’m done. Overall, I lost $4 on the Gamecube mistake. I’m happy with that. The broadband adapter sold for $45 (retails for $35), the memory card sold for $24 (retails for $30), and the Phantasy Star Online game sold for $55 (I paid $45). If only amazon.com didn’t take out such a huge chunk, I could’ve made money on the venture. Oh well, no biggie, at least I made back all the cash I spent (minus taxes). I’d definitely recommend using amazon.com if you’re trying to sell something, especially if amazon.com doesn’t actually sell it, but they have it listed. That’s how I was able to get over retail value for two of the products I sold.
1 Year Baby
That’s right folks, looking back through the archives, it has come to my attention that rebelpeon.com has been around for a full year! You can see the post that started it all. Nothing special, but talk about a year it has been.
It’s amazing how much I, as a person, have changed. Be it from actually getting a job after graduating, to my multitude of purchases throughout the year, to then complaining about work, to the thing with Colleen, to the multitude of website changes. It ought to see what the next year brings me.
On a more personal note, if anyone out there has ever thought of making a website/dairy thing, go for it. I have this great and easy place to look through my past with the greatest of ease. Plus, I can search, and just read things from certain categories and what not. This is so much better than a book that I write in, plus other people can participate in my madness. Granted that’s not always the greatest thing, and I definitely still keep things off the site that I wish I could talk about, but it’s better than not letting things out at all. Hell, just sign up for bloglines or something. It’s definitely worth it.
She’s Gone
Well, Colleen has moved out. With the speed and lack of communication that surrounded it, I don’t see us staying together. It’s not official, but it seems as if the only thing left is saying “good bye.” It definitely hurts, but, I don’t know.
Time will tell I suppose. Two years is/was coming up in a few days too.
So, if anybody is in need of an apt next year, I may actually be open to having a roommate, since that’s extra money in my pocket.
Is Anybody Out There
Wow, it seems as if the other rebelpeon.com websites are a little quiet lately. Not that this doesn’t surprise me (lazy bastards). I just find it funny since I was the one who posted about how I felt that my blogging was going to end. Well, who’s ending now!!
Ok, so really, I’m just waiting for some MSI’s to build at Architecture, so I’m bored.
Still Waiting
Well, I still don’t have my car. The salesman gives me, usually, daily updates about it, but there’s not much he can do. Apparantly it hasn’t even arrived in the country yet. However, as soon as it does, he having someone go get it at the other dealership for him, and then we’ll do our swap. Man, I really hope it happens sometime soon, I’m so anxious to get it. Good things come to those who wait though.
Hair Went Bye-Bye
So, for those of you that never saw me as a kid, you’ve never actually seen me with anything but long-ish hair.
This afternoon that all changed. Yes, that’s right, I got it cut short. I was so sick of it, especially in this humidity. It would stick to my face, blow around, just be a pain in the ass. But now all of those problems are a thing of the past because quarter inch hair doesn’t really do much of anything, but stand on end. Yes, that’s right, I went from hair that was about down to my nose or more, to a short quarter of an inch. Wow, talk about a difference. You should see my patio out back, it’s covered in hair.
At first I went to an inch, but that’s almost too long for those stupid guards, so I went shorter. Half an inch, and it seemed to long still. I hit a quarter of an inch, and wow, that’s what I was going for. There’s only one guard shorter at one eigth of an inch, but I’m saving that for next time.
I just want to thank Aaron Binford for making this all happen. But I think I’m going to actually go buy a razor. Hopefully Colleen won’t flip out too much, since she’s in Virginia at a wedding. I told her I was going to cut it off, but I don’t think she was thinking this short. Oh well, she’s moving out next weekend anyways…
Getting Rid of the Cube
Well, I was easily able to return the cube to best buy. However, ebgames doesn’t take returns on cube accessories that have been opened (broadband adapter and memory card). Plus, I accidentally disposed of the reciept for Phantasy Star Online 1 & 2, so they wouldn’t take that back either. Talk about a bummer. Well, off to ebay to sell them, or so I thought.
Aaron Binford recently started selling his cd’s on amazon.com, while undercutting all the other personally sellers on there. Turns out he’s already made close to $300. Well, what have I got to lose? I throw up the game, broadband adapter, and memory card on Sunday. Today, just an hour or so ago, PSO sold for $55 ($10 more than what I bought it for, but $10 cheaper than the cheapest other seller on amazon.com). Hopefully the other items will sell just as nicely. One can only hope. Now I just need to get to the post office tomorrow and get it sent off.
This is way better than taking a huge loss, that’s for sure 🙂
